The Minister of Shipping and Island Policy, Vasilis Kikilias, has traveled to Cyprus in order to participate in the 9th Trilateral Meeting of Cyprus – Greece – Malta, with the participation of Italy, which is taking place today in Limassol.
The meeting will focus on the further strengthening and coordination of cooperation among the four countries, with the aim of continuously safeguarding the competitiveness of European shipping.
Particular emphasis will be placed on the critical negotiations at the International Maritime Organization (IMO) on the international framework for the decarbonization of shipping, as well as in the European Union on the revision of the EU emissions trading system for shipping (EU ETS Maritime).
After the completion of the meeting, a joint press conference will follow.
