The top Platinum distinction of the international business sustainability rating organization EcoVadis was achieved by the Hellenic Healthcare Group (HHG). The group achieved the highest level of distinction for sustainable development in the areas of Environment, Society and Governance (ESG).
At the same time, it is the only group in the healthcare sector in Greece that has achieved the Platinum distinction. This fact gives this year’s recognition particular weight both internationally and nationally.
The Platinum distinction is the highest level of recognition from EcoVadis and places HHG in the top 1% of companies evaluated internationally. According to EcoVadis methodology, the ranking is calculated in relation to all companies that have been evaluated by the organization, regardless of sector, and the Platinum distinction is awarded to companies that are in the top 1% worldwide.
For HHG, this year’s distinction is not an isolated success, but the result of a steady course of evaluation and continuous strengthening of its practices and policies in the areas of sustainability and responsible business operation.
The HHG group has consecutively received Silver Medal in 2021–2022 and 2022–2023, Bronze Medal in 2023–2024 and Silver Medal in 2024–2025, before achieving this year the highest Platinum level.
The EcoVadis assessment examines companies’ approach and performance in four key pillars: Environment, Labor and Human Rights, Business Ethics and Sustainable Procurement.
Achieving the Platinum distinction confirms the group’s comprehensive approach to sustainable development and responsible business operation, in a particularly demanding and complex environment such as healthcare.
The significance of the distinction is also particular at the national level. HHG’s emergence as the only group in the healthcare sector in Greece with a Platinum distinction from the EcoVadis organization constitutes significant recognition of the effort being made. At the same time, it highlights its role in promoting high standards of responsible and sustainable business operation in the healthcare sector, according to the company’s announcement.
