This year marks ten years of the paid internship program “Engineers in Practice” of METLEN, having evolved into a steady point of reference for young male and female engineers taking their first professional steps. With the launch of the 10th cycle, METLEN is once again inviting young graduate engineers to gain meaningful experience in real working conditions through a paid one-year program.
Since its launch, the program has attracted young engineers, offering them the opportunity to get to know the modern professional environment of METLEN up close, work alongside experienced professionals, and turn their academic knowledge into practical experience and applicable skills. Participants, in particular, are actively integrated into the daily operations of METLEN, across a wide range of activities: from the company’s facilities and projects, including energy projects and activities, to construction sites.
The success of the program is also reflected in the particularly high professional absorption of participants. For many of the young engineers who went through the program, their first professional experience developed into a stable career path within METLEN, confirming in practice its ability to function as a meaningful bridge between education and integration into the labor market.
At a time when attracting and retaining specialized human resources is becoming increasingly important, the program creates opportunities for young scientists to stay, develop, and build their professional path in Greece.
At the same time, the international growth of METLEN is also reflected in the evolution of the program itself. The “Engineers in Practice” program has now expanded beyond Greece, offering corresponding opportunities to young engineers in England and Italy and gradually acquiring an international character.
What the program offers:
Participants will have the opportunity to:
- Work at one of the leading Greek companies with an international footprint.
