The taxi fares on fixed routes from and to the airports of Athens and Thessaloniki are increasing, following the agreement that emerged from the dialogue between the Ministry of Infrastructure and Transport and the Panhellenic Taxi Federation and the Attica Taxi Drivers Association.
According to ministry sources, the increases concern the routes from the center of Athens and Thessaloniki to the airports and vice versa, as well as certain other charges.
The Athens – “Eleftherios Venizelos” route at €50
The fixed price for the route from the center of Athens to “Eleftherios Venizelos” airport and vice versa is increasing from €40 to €50 for the single tariff.
For the double tariff, the price is set at €65 from €55 today.
Taxis in Thessaloniki also become more expensive
In Thessaloniki, the fixed price for the route from “Macedonia” airport to the center and vice versa is increasing from €25 to €28 with the single tariff.
With the double tariff, the charge increases from €35 to €38.
Waiting time is also increasing
Changes are also предусмотрены in the charge for waiting per hour, which is increasing to €20 from €15 as applies today.
At the same time, the upper limit of the waiting charge that can be collected after a free agreement between driver and passenger is increasing from €25 to €40.
However, the basic single and double tariff does not change, while the minimum charge remains at €4.
The new prices are expected to come into force after their publication in the Government Gazette (FEK).
