With S&P500 futures at a 0.86% premium, from 7,618.75 points, the DAX stands at 25,702 (0.58%), the CAC40 at 8,171 (0.39%) and on Euronext Athens the GD in the area of 2,685 points.
For half an hour, at the start of the session, investors in Athens synchronized with their counterparts in Frankfurt and Paris, resulting in the GD rising to 2,712.08 points. A period during which, as became apparent afterwards, part of positions were taken profit on mainly in banking shares and specific blue chips.
Shortly before 11:00, the GD was "turning" into negative territory, where it has remained since. The low of the 11:00-14:45 period was 2,678.46 points.
Trading activity was increased, with 17.5 million banking shares out of a total of 24.3 million shares. Turnover around 210 million euros, with 37.7 million through pre-agreed orders. Second consecutive session in which block trades are elevated, reinforcing a broker's estimate of position reshuffling also ahead of rebalancing. Most of them, today as well, in the shares of the systemic banks and also in PPC.
L-shaped fluctuation for the DTR, with an upper limit of 3,266.22 and a low at 3,195.99 points. Significant range attributed to intraday/trading orders mainly from "fast money" players.
The common assessment is that the main part of outflows-inflows will be recorded in the shares of Eurobank, National Bank, Alpha Bank, Piraeus. Also in "front-line" blue chips, with the most characteristic case being PPC.
Significant pressures on shares of the Viohalco group, one explanation given concerns the more expensive cost of money-triggering partial liquidation of positions by investors placed in the three shares.
With sellers prevailing in Eurobank (4.654), National Bank (17.355), Alpha Bank (4.749), Piraeus (10.51), and with Optima Bank (13.23), Bank of Cyprus (10.68) differentiating themselves upward.

New inflows into Motor Oil (69.20) at new all-time highs, secondarily into HelleniQ Energy (18.20).
Steady buyer, today as well, in the DAA share, with orders in the 11-11.36 euro range.
The upward streak continues for the PPA share. Increased trading of 25.1 thousand shares up to 46.95 (2.85%), also new highs. The share is on a steady rise, a few days after the undertaking of special market making by Euroxx Securities, at the end of August. A process that came into effect from the September 1 session.
