He places the time horizon for the negotiation in the European Union for the new NSRF, programming period 2028-2034, in the second half of 2027, according to the Deputy Minister of National Economy and Finance, Nikos Papathanasis.
The amount of community resources under negotiation for Greece stands at 49.5 billion euros, although, as the deputy minister pointed out addressing an audience of representatives of the chamber and business community from all over the country, the process is still ongoing and consequently this amount cannot be considered final.
These remarks were made by the Deputy Minister of National Economy and Finance during an event organized by the International Chamber (ICC) and its president, Petros Doukas, with the participation of representatives of the country's chambers, its members.
At the same time, he stressed that, given the critical role played by NSRF funds in the country's development process, during the negotiation and especially at its completion, the country must have strong leadership, under Kyriakos Mitsotakis.
As for the need for political stability, which is necessary for the success of investment and business efforts, the deputy minister referred to the broader geopolitical environment, which today appears unstable.
“We are going through an era of instability”, he noted characteristically, referring to the war conflicts in Ukraine and the Middle East and the consequent rise in energy prices.
