A one-time support amounting to 3,000 euros for every newborn was decided to be granted by the Municipality of Georgios Karaiskakis, in Arta, making use of the relevant possibility under the new institutional framework.
According to the Municipality, the measure will have retroactive effect from July 1, 2024, while the conditions for the beneficiaries will be determined in the decision expected to be posted.
The initiative aims at supporting families and retaining the population in the mountainous municipality of Arta, which is facing an intense demographic problem.
