With particular success and a strong presence of job candidates and employers, the Career Days of kariera.gr at Metropolitan Expo were completed over the weekend of September 12 and 13, under the auspices of the Region of Attica. This year, the event completed 27 years of presence, serving as a point of reference for connecting the labor market with the country's human resources.
More than 7,000 visitors had the opportunity to conduct 205,000+ interviews with market executives. Competing for more than 1,300 available job positions, candidates came into direct contact with more than 130 companies, while at the same time they had the opportunity to attend 48 specialized talks and workshops aimed at their professional empowerment.
In an ever-changing work environment, where career paths are no longer predetermined, human connections and networking are the key to every new beginning, it is emphasized in the relevant announcement.
The event was honored by the presence of the Deputy Minister of Labour and Social Security Kostas Karagkounis, who stated: “I would like to warmly congratulate kariera.gr for the Career Days and their great contribution. The goal of both kariera.gr and the Ministry of Labour and Social Security is common.
Through initiatives such as Career Days and Rebrain Greece, we continue with persistence and dedication to support a critical triptych for the labor market: satisfied employees with better pay, sustainable businesses, and strong labor protection.
We have achieved a reduction in unemployment from 18% to 7.9% and the creation of more than 580,000 new jobs. Greece has already turned the page and our priority for the next four years is to do even more to support workers and businesses”.
