A two-and-a-half-month extension is being granted to the tender for the development of the Thermal Spring of Thermopylae Baths, with the HCAP moving the deadline for submission of bids from September 30 to December 15. This concerns the property with a total area of 128,483.65 sq.m. near the settlement of Thermopylae, for which the international bidding tender began last May.
The development model has a horizon of 99 years and two parts. For an area of 114,561.89 sq.m., the establishment and transfer of a surface right is envisaged, while for a second area of 14,281.76 sq.m., where the thermal spring itself is located, a long-term lease of also 99 years is envisaged. The highest bidder will additionally be granted the right of exclusive use of the thermal resource through an agreement with ETAD. For the first area, there is already an approved ESCHADA, which provides for tourism and recreation uses.
Under the revised timetable, on October 22 the draft lease agreement and the long-term concession of use of the spring will be uploaded to the VDR. On November 27, visits to the properties are completed and the final draft of the surface right agreement and the discount rate are uploaded.
The process closes in December. Based on the new timetable and barring unforeseen circumstances, questions may be submitted until December 4, on December 11 the uploading of information to the VDR is completed, and on December 15 the curtain falls on the submission of bids.
