Starting today, Friday, September 18, the new metavoles platform is being launched, through which the process of correcting boundaries and, more generally, the geometric data of properties in cadastral diagrams is fully digitized. Citizens, engineers, and judicial bailiffs can now carry out electronically a process that until now required successive actions and coordination among different bodies.
With the activation of the platform, the full range of services of the Hellenic Cadastre is now also provided digitally. Citizens and professionals can access either directly at metavoles.ktimatologio.gr, or through the Cadastre website and then in the metavoles section.
The platform covers the entire cycle of the process, from the initial submission of the application to its final outcome, through a single digital environment to which all those involved in a correction case have access.
The goal is to standardize the process, enhance transparency, reduce the administrative burden of the Cadastral Offices, and provide faster service to citizens and professionals.
At this stage, the platform supports applications in which all parties involved, according to the Cadastre records, are natural or legal persons. Excluded are the Greek State, the bodies of the General Government, and properties of unknown owner.
How “metavoles” works
The citizen, as an owner or authorized person, logs in with Taxisnet credentials, submits the correction application, and assigns the required actions to an engineer and a judicial bailiff of their choice. At the same time, they can monitor the progress of their case through the same platform.
The engineer accepts the assignment and registers the Electronic Diagram Code (KID) of the geometric changes diagram, in which the requested correction is depicted. The change also appears automatically on the application's digital map.
The judicial bailiff accepts the assignment and undertakes the mandatory service of the relevant documents to the co-owners and the owners of the adjacent properties affected by the application.
The five stages of the process
Application submission: The interested party submits the application electronically together with the required supporting documents.
Notification of interested parties: Where required, the beneficiaries and other interested parties affected by the application are informed.
Submission of views and objections: Those involved may submit their views or objections within the prescribed deadline.
Examination of the case: The application and the relevant information are evaluated.
Issuance of decision: The process is completed with the issuance of the relevant decision and the notification of the interested parties.
In the event of disagreement, the interested party has the option to appeal either to a second-instance body of the Cadastre or, under the prescribed conditions, to the Cadastral Judge.
With the launch of “metavoles,” the Hellenic Cadastre completes yet another important cycle of digital modernization, aiming for simpler and more transparent procedures, reliable real property data, and better service for citizens and professionals,
