With turnover soaring to 4.2 billion euros, the session on the Athens Stock Exchange was completed, as portfolio restructuring moves linked to changes in the Stoxx and FTSE indices, in the context of the reclassification of the Greek market into the category of developed markets, brought a historic trading record.
On the FTSE 25 board, the picture was mixed, with significant pressure on several stocks, but also notable upward moves.
The National Bank recorded a rise of 0.52% to 17.50 euros, with turnover reaching 816.54 million euros, by far the highest among the index's stocks. It was followed by Eurobank, with transactions of 616.07 million euros, despite the marginal decline of 0.24% to 4.665 euros, and Piraeus, with turnover of 479.96 million euros and a drop of 0.92% to 10.285 euros.
Transactions were also particularly high in Alpha Bank, at 461.29 million euros, with the stock declining 0.71% to 4.726 euros. PPC closed at 24.18 euros, with losses of 2.03% and turnover of 298.46 million euros.
Among the strongest losses of the day, Coca-Cola HBC fell 5.77% to 50.60 euros, while ELPE recorded a drop of 4.28% to 17.46 euros. Allwyn posted a decline of 3.30% to 12.30 euros, while Motor Oil closed with losses of 3.15% at 67.75 euros. Titan fell 2.58% to 48.3 euros, while OTE lost 1.57% to 19.49 euros.
On the other hand, DAA stood out, with a rise of 8.87% to 12.27 euros, while Credia strengthened by 4.32% to 0.99 euros. Optima gained 3.46% to 13.76 euros, Elvalhalcor rose 3.03% to 3.575 euros, while Cenergy closed at +2.58%, at 22.30 euros. VIO also posted a rise of 2.17% to 15.10 euros.
GEK TERNA (+0.79%), EYDAP (+0.97%) and BOCΗGR (+0.28%) also moved higher. On the other hand, BELA fell 0.24%, %, Aktor 0.98%, Aegean 0.54%.
Metlen fell 0.35% to 45.66 euros.
