«In the first half of the year, EYATH maintained its positive momentum, moving forward consistently with the implementation of its strategy for sustainable growth.
For EYATH, sustainable growth and contribution to the society of Thessaloniki are an integral part of our strategy. During the first half of 2026, we continued to implement our investment plan and at the same time our actions to strengthen urban greenery, protect the Thermaic Gulf, environmental education and support the city's social, educational and cultural institutions.
At the same time, we took an important step in strengthening transparency by publishing an Integrated Report for the first time, with the Sustainability Report being prepared voluntarily in accordance with ESRS standards and the principle of Double Materiality. We continue to operate with responsibility and consistency, creating long-term value for society, the environment, our shareholders and all stakeholders.»
Anthimos Amanatidis, Chief Executive Officer, commented:
«EYATH recorded positive performance during the first half of 2026, with a significant increase in revenue and gross profit and a substantial strengthening of the gross profit margin.
The Group's turnover amounted to €47.4 million, up by 14.5%, while gross profit increased by 31.2%, to €13.6 million. Particularly significant is the improvement in the gross profit margin to 28.6%, from 25.0% in the corresponding period of 2025, an increase of 360 basis points.
These performances confirm the positive momentum of our core activity, despite increased operating expenses and burdens on cost of goods sold.
The Group's profitability was affected by non-recurring charges of approximately
€1.2 million. As a result, profit before tax amounted to €4.4 million and net profit to
€2.6 million.
EYATH has a strong financial base, with cash and cash equivalents of €45.2 million at the end of June 2026, which allows us to continue consistently implementing our investment planning, while bad debts reached a positive level for the first time.
Our priority remains the further strengthening of operational efficiency, the containment and rationalization of costs, and the acceleration of investments in water supply and sewerage infrastructure. We continue to invest in the resilience and modernization of our networks, with the aim of ensuring a high level of services to consumers and creating sustainable, long-term value for shareholders and the society of Thessaloniki.»
