The Minister of National Defence Nikos Dendias will travel on Monday 28 September 2026 to Brussels, where he will participate in the Foreign Affairs Council of the European Union, in the configuration of the defense ministers of the member states (FAC-Defence).
At the meeting, the defense ministers will discuss, among other things, addressing hybrid threats, the situation in the Middle East and its impact on European security, as well as developments in Ukraine.
Military mobility at the center
On Tuesday 29 September, Mr. Dendias will participate in a discussion on Military Mobility, in the context of the «Connecting Europe Days» event.
Also participating in the discussion will be the Commissioner for Sustainable Transport and Tourism Apostolos Tzitzikostas, the Commissioner for Defence and Space Andrius Kubilius, the Romanian deputy prime minister, minister of defense and acting minister of transport and infrastructure Radu-Dinel Miruta, as well as the vice-president of the European Parliament, responsible for Military Mobility, Roberts Zile.
