EKTER published the Half-Year Financial Report for the period from 01.01.2026 to 30.06.2026, which has been prepared on the basis of the International Financial Reporting Standards (IFRS).
During the first half of 2026, EKTER continued its growth trajectory uninterrupted, recording a significant increase in turnover, a further expansion of the backlog, and strong operating cash flows.
At the same time, the Company further strengthened its position in the Greek construction market, with the acquisition of the 7th class contractor's license in July 2026 marking its entry into a new phase of growth.
• Consolidated turnover €59.6 million (+42.4%)
• Group gross profits €7.7 million (+6.3%)
• Consolidated EBITDA €6.5 million
• Consolidated net profits after taxes €3.5 million
• Group operating cash flows €11.3 million (+75.8%)
• Cash and cash equivalents €19.7 million – positive net cash position €7.3 million
• Backlog €258.7 million (September 2026)
• Acquisition of 7th class contractor's license
• Positive opinion of the Plenary Session of the Council of State for the Special Urban Plan at the “Kolymbithres” location in Paros
Consolidated turnover amounted to €59.6 million in the first half of 2026, compared to €41.9 million in the corresponding period of 2025, recording an increase of 42.4%. This increase is mainly attributed to the acceleration of the execution of existing construction contracts, the timely completion of projects, as well as the commencement of implementation of new significant projects.
Particularly significant was the strengthening of revenues from private projects, which amounted to €29.4 million and represented 49.3% of total turnover compared to just €2.9 million or 7.0% in the corresponding period of the previous year. During the first half of 2026, EKTER continued to undertake and execute significant public and private projects such as:
• The Panathinaikos sports facilities in Elaionas, with a budget of €34.0 million.
• The Marina Residences by Kengo Kuma residential complex in Elliniko, with a budget of €30.3 million.
• The new ANT1 office building and production studios, with a budget of €25.5 million.
• The bioclimatic swimming complex of the Municipality of Ampelokipoi – Menemeni, with a budget of €24.5 million.
• The special school E.E.E.E.K. of Chios, with a budget of €8.2 million.
• The Kalamata International Airport upgrade project.
After the end of the period, the Company additionally signed the contract for the continuation and completion of the building facilities of the Medical School of Democritus University of Thrace with a budget of €8.8 million, while the second amending contract for the Infinity, Six Senses Porto Heli project increased the total contractual price of the project to €101.1 million.
The backlog stood at €206.4 million on 30.06.2026, increased by 79.5% compared to €115 million on 31.12.2025 and €100 million on 31.12.2024.
On 27.09.2026, EKTER's share 1 of signed contracts amounted to €258.7 million, providing strong visibility of future revenues. 79.8% of the backlog concerns private projects and 20.2% public projects.
At the same time, the Company maintained high tendering activity, participating during the first half of 2026 in 31 project tenders with a total budget of €605.0 million, while by 27.09.2026 participations had risen to 54 tenders with a total budget of approximately €1.0 billion.
Consolidated gross profits amounted to €7.7 million, compared to €7.2 million in the first half of 2025, recording an increase of 6.3%, while the gross profit margin stood at 12.8% compared to 17.2% in the corresponding period of 2025.
The gross profit margin was mainly affected by two factors: on the one hand by the reshaping of project costing, as a result of increased geopolitical tensions, so as to incorporate increases in the cost of materials and other inputs, and on the other hand by the project mix, as a significant number of large-budget projects are at an early stage of execution, where margins are lower and are expected to improve gradually as the projects progress.
As a result of the above:
• Consolidated EBITDA stood at €6.5 million compared to €7.1 million in the first half of 2025, with the EBITDA margin amounting to 10.8%.
• The Group's profit before taxes stood at €5.2 million compared to €6.0 million in the corresponding period of 2025.
• The Group's profit after taxes amounted to €3.5 million compared to €4.5 million in the first half of 2025.
The development of operating profitability mainly reflects the change in the gross margin, as well as the increase in administrative expenses, which is linked to the expansion of the Company's support structures and the expenses related to undertaking and managing an increased volume of projects.
As regards the Group's financial position, the development of cash flows and liquidity was particularly positive.
Net operating cash flows amounted to €11.3 million compared to €6.5 million in the first half of 2025, increased by 75.8%.
Cash and cash equivalents increased to €19.7 million on 30.06.2026 compared to €12.4 million on 31.12.2025, while total loan liabilities decreased by approximately €0.2 million and stood at €12.4 million, resulting in the Group showing a positive net cash position of approximately €7.3 million.
The Group's equity stood at €56.2 million compared to €55.7 million on 31.12.2025. On 15 July 2026, EKTER was classified in the 7th class of the Register of Public Works Contracting Enterprises, the highest level of the Register.
The acquisition of the 7th class license constitutes a milestone for the Company's growth course, as it significantly broadens its field of activity, providing the possibility of participating in projects of significantly larger budget and strengthening the Company's position in large-scale consortium schemes.
In addition, EKTER continues the implementation of the strategy to diversify its business model.
In the hospitality sector, the turnover of Summer Senses Luxury Resort in Paros amounted to €1.13 million from €1.08 million in the first half of 2025. Due to the strong seasonality of the hotel sector, the greater part of the unit's revenues and profitability is expected to be reflected in the annual financial statements, where the unit is expected to present revenues of approximately €4.80 million for the 2026 season compared to €4.26 million in 2025.
At the same time, according to Processing Minutes No. 68/2026 of the Plenary formation of the Council of State, it was judged that the draft Presidential Decree for the approval of the Special Urban Plan at the “Kolymbithres” location of the Municipal Community of Naoussa of the Municipality of Paros, on a property with a total area of 328 stremmas owned by the Company, is lawfully proposed.
This positive opinion constitutes a substantial milestone in the licensing process of the project, with a total budget of €53.3 million, the financing of which is secured and includes resources from the Recovery and Resilience Facility, bank lending and own participation.
In the PPP sector EKTER participates, through a consortium scheme, in the project for the study, construction, financing and technical management of five new Police Directorates, with an expenditure budget of €57.0 million, where it is awaiting the invitation to sign the contract.
In the Real Estate sector, the Company is proceeding with the implementation of the construction of new privately owned headquarters, strengthening its operational autonomy and reducing its long-term operating cost.
Management estimates that the Company's prospects for 2026 remain positive, despite the environment of increased geopolitical and macroeconomic uncertainty and inflationary pressures on construction costs. The strong increase in turnover, the significant expansion of the backlog, the acquisition of the 7th class contractor's license, strong liquidity and the expansion of activities into complementary sectors create strong foundations for the Company's further growth.
Management is closely monitoring developments and continues to focus on the selective undertaking of projects with attractive characteristics, maintaining a strong financial position and gradually strengthening activities that can generate long-term and recurring cash flows.
