EY Greece confirmed for yet another year its leading position in the tax services sector, as it received the distinction “Greece Tax Disputes Advisory Firm of the Year” at this year’s ITR Europe Tax Awards 2026 ceremony, of the internationally recognized tax magazine International Tax Review (ITR).
As the relevant announcement notes, the distinction recognizes the deep specialization and experience of EY Greece’s Tax Services teams in managing disputes with the tax authorities and in supporting businesses in the face of increasing regulatory and compliance requirements.
The recognition takes on particular significance at a time when international tax reforms, increased transparency requirements, new technologies, and the rapidly evolving regulatory landscape are radically changing the nature of taxation.
According to a recent global EY survey, nine out of ten heads of tax departments expect an increase in disputes with the tax authorities in the coming years, thus reinforcing the need for their timely, coordinated, and well-documented management.
Commenting on the new distinction, Spyros Kaminaris, Partner and Head of Tax Services at EY Greece, stated: «This is an important recognition of the know-how, experience, and quality of the services our team provides.
As businesses operate in an increasingly complex tax environment and the tax authorities conduct audits almost in real time, distinctions of this kind give us motivation to continue leveraging the experience and skills of our people, together with new technological capabilities, to offer high-quality, value-added tax services to our clients. Warm congratulations, therefore, to all the members of our team who contributed to this milestone».
