The distinction “Greece Tax Disputes Advisory Firm of the Year” was awarded to EY Greece at the awards ceremony of this year’s ITR Europe Tax Awards 2026, by the internationally recognized tax magazine International Tax Review (ITR), confirming once again its leading position in the tax services sector, according to the company.
The distinction recognizes the deep specialization and experience of the company’s Tax Services teams in managing disputes with the tax authorities. At the same time, it highlights the support of businesses in the face of increasing regulatory requirements and compliance requirements, the company notes.
The recognition takes on particular significance at a time when international tax reforms, increased transparency requirements, new technologies, and the rapidly evolving regulatory landscape are radically changing the nature of taxation, the relevant announcement emphasizes.
According to a recent global survey, nine out of ten heads of tax departments expect an increase in disputes with the tax authorities in the coming years, thus reinforcing the need for their timely, coordinated, and well-documented management.
Commenting on the new distinction, Spyros Kaminaris, partner and head of the company’s Tax Services, stated:
“This is an important recognition of the know-how, experience, and quality of the services our team provides. As businesses operate in an increasingly complex tax environment and the tax authorities conduct audits almost in real time, distinctions of this kind give us motivation to continue to leverage the experience and skills of our people, together with new technological capabilities, to offer high-quality, value-added tax services to our clients. Warm congratulations, therefore, to all the members of our team who contributed to this milestone”.
