METLEN announces the signing of a long-term commercial agreement with a leading Japanese chemicals company for the future supply of gallium, in a quantity corresponding to up to 16% of its total annual production, from the production unit in Greece, which is at an advanced stage of erection - construction. The commercial terms of the agreement remain confidential, the relevant announcement notes.
This new partnership is the second strategic commercial agreement for METLEN's future gallium production and further confirms the strong international demand for a reliable European source of supply. As industries worldwide seek to diversify critical raw materials supply chains, METLEN is further consolidating its position as a reliable, long-term partner of leading industrial and technology companies in different geographic markets.
The growing commercial interest reflects both the strategic importance of gallium and confidence in METLEN's integrated production model, which combines in-house technology, secured raw material from Aluminium of Greece and industrial-scale production capabilities, unique in Europe.
With each new commercial partnership, Greece is strengthening its position as an emerging hub for critical raw materials, while Europe is substantially strengthening its presence in one of the most strategically important value chains.
