“Let us remember today at this very beautiful celebration, your own personal journey and what connects you to ND. You are ND, you are the soul and the heart of the party”, stated Kyriakos Mitsotakis speaking at the event for the 52nd birthday of ND.
The prime minister stressed that four times ND has managed to win consecutive elections with percentages that exceeded 40%, with the founder Konstantinos Karamanlis, Konstantinos Mitsotakis, Kostas Karamanlis and himself.
“And we will do it again”, he continued.
Mr. Mitsotakis noted that ONNED had proposed the establishment of non-state universities as early as 1987.
“How we were able to constantly renew ourselves. This great strength of ND and this is what will allow us to win once again the trust of Greek women and Greek men. The ability to adapt beyond and above the labels of the left and the right”, he continued.
Mr. Mitsotakis said that in view of the difficult electoral battle, ND is the party that in troubled waters keeps the ship of the homeland steady.
“We will have the opportunity until the elections to explain to the citizens what our plan is for Greece of 2030. The longer we remain in power, the more we must struggle to win the trust of the citizens. Within ourselves we must find the strength and recognize our mistakes and at the same time design a future that will make the country a protagonist in Europe, we will have major economic upheavals ahead. Today Greece is an example to be imitated”, stressed the prime minister.
Mr. Mitsotakis pointed out that “we will not put this course at risk for anyone” and that “we will not go back”.
“When we identify with a great party, our personal experiences are connected with our values and our principles”, he stated among other things.
“We have every reason despite the difficult times to hope for a better Greece. Gather strength for the struggle that is coming. We will disappoint the expectations of those who believe that we cannot achieve the goal we set. We will do it again in 2027”, he stressed, closing his speech.
