Command Alkon specialises in software solutions for managing production, logistics and commercial processes in ready-mix concrete, aggregates and asphalt operations, at thousands of locations worldwide. Its cloud-based platform provides the foundation for integrating workflows, improving data visibility and accelerating the adoption of advanced digital capabilities and artificial intelligence applications. The investment marks the start of a long-term partnership between the TITAN Group and Command Alkon.
Command Alkon is an independent technology company serving the building materials industry and is majority-owned by Francisco Partners, a global investment firm focused on technology.
The investment aligns with the TITAN Group’s “TITAN Forward 2029” strategy, reflecting its ambition and reinforcing its commitment to accelerating digital transformation, operational excellence and innovation across its ready-mix concrete and aggregates operations worldwide.
With an extensive presence in these sectors in key US markets, including Florida and the Mid-Atlantic states, as well as in south-eastern Europe and the eastern Mediterranean, the TITAN Group can support Command Alkon’s growth strategy by bringing unique operational expertise and proven experience in implementing digital solutions. At the same time, together with Command Alkon’s wider customer community, it can contribute its operational perspective and help accelerate the development of next-generation cloud and artificial intelligence solutions for the industry.
Following a thorough assessment of the market, the TITAN Group selected Command Alkon as the industry’s most comprehensive end-to-end platform and intends to expand the adoption of its solutions across its operations gradually. The platform will support a unified digital architecture across the Group’s ready-mix concrete and aggregates operations, reducing operational complexity, facilitating data integration and accelerating the scaling of artificial intelligence applications.
The investment strengthens the TITAN Group’s position as a pioneer in industrial artificial intelligence since 2017. Its artificial intelligence-powered real-time optimisation systems (RTOs) and predictive maintenance solutions now cover more than 90% of the Group’s production equipment for cement manufacturing, each generating annual benefits of more than €10 million.
Under its “TITAN Forward 2029” strategy, digital technology is a key driver in achieving the annual cost savings target [€100 million] through initiatives in operations, carbon footprint reduction and digital transformation.
With Command Alkon, Titan extends this journey into the downstream stages of its value chain, leveraging innovation and digital solutions to create value for customers, employees, shareholders and local communities, while also strengthening the resilience, efficiency and competitiveness of its operations worldwide.
Antonis Kyrkos, the TITAN Group’s Director of Strategy and Digital Transformation, said:
“Accelerating digital transformation is a key pillar of our ‘TITAN Forward 2029’ strategy. Our investment in Command Alkon, the leading technology platform for operations in the building materials industry, strengthens our ability to accelerate the digital transformation of our building materials operations, while also enabling us to contribute actively to the development of cloud and artificial intelligence solutions that are shaping the future of our industry.
As operational excellence increasingly depends on connected data, intelligent workflows and artificial intelligence-driven decision-making, we believe this partnership further strengthens Titan’s position at the forefront of the industry’s digital transformation. We look forward to working with Command Alkon as it continues to set the global standard for the digital transformation of the heavy building materials industry.”
