The 450 petrol station operators who have yet to update and finalise their business details in the Tank Registry have been urged by AADE to comply by Monday 19 October 2026, in individual messages sent to them.
The tax administration warns that failure to comply carries fines of up to €15,000.
Updating the details is a prerequisite for petrol stations to be included in the new digital applications, which will go live on 1 November 2026, enabling them to supply fuel fully exempt from Special Consumption Tax to eligible farmers and diplomats.
