WHEN and Olympic Brewery are moving on to the next stage of their initiative after completing the first phase of the Female Founders Hub @Hospitality programme, offering 20 three-month mentoring scholarships to women entrepreneurs working in the HORECA sector (hotels, restaurants and catering services).
According to an announcement, Female Founders Hub @ Hospitality aims to empower, educate and connect women entrepreneurs in one of the most important sectors of the Greek economy.
Since its launch, the programme has been rolled out in stages, with each phase building on findings and needs identified by women in the sector themselves.
The first phase of the programme involved focus groups with women entrepreneurs from across Greece to identify the challenges they face in running their businesses, as well as the needs they have identified.
The research findings highlighted issues related both to the particular challenges women face in business and to the growing demands of operating and developing businesses in the hospitality sector.
Among other things, the findings pointed to a need to strengthen skills in areas such as financial management and digital marketing, as well as to improve access to networks for support, guidance and sharing experiences.
Following the online skills-development programmes held in early 2026, the Female Founders Hub mentoring programme will now give participants the time and space to work on more specific issues that they themselves consider important to their businesses, with the right support.
Each of the 20 participants will have access to:
A three-month mentoring programme with a mentor from the WHEN platform, with the match based on profile and experience.
A 90-minute online training session on the fundamentals of mentoring, to help participants make the most of the relationship.
Support from WHEN throughout the programme.
Mentoring is a valuable tool for professional development, giving participants the opportunity to discuss the challenges they face, receive targeted guidance from experienced professionals, and gain new perspectives and practical tools to develop their businesses.
The programme is open to women entrepreneurs working in the HORECA sector, including hotels, restaurants and other catering businesses.
Applications will be open from 13 to 26 October 2026, with the mentoring partnerships scheduled to begin on 23 November 2026.
