Nova is expanding its partnership with Basketaki for the new season, becoming the Communications Sponsor of all its competitions. The partnership began with the Basketaki league for athletes with disabilities and is now extending to Greece’s largest amateur basketball community.
According to the announcement, Nova has supported the Basketaki league for athletes with disabilities from the outset and helped raise the athletes’ profile. Its backing has brought greater visibility to their efforts and passion, while bringing the league closer to people who may not yet have had the opportunity to discover it.
New initiatives for Basketaki competitions
As the partnership expands, Nova will also provide communications support for the other Basketaki leagues in cities across the country, promoting the competitions, teams and athletes.
The two sides are also planning new initiatives and experiences, which will be announced in the coming period.
Konstantinos Magkaniaris, Business Development Director at Basketaki, said: “We are particularly pleased that Nova is stepping up its support for Basketaki this year. From the outset, it has embraced the Basketaki league for athletes with disabilities, giving these fantastic athletes and their personal stories a platform and greater visibility.
The expansion of the partnership to the other leagues confirms that Nova recognises what we see on the courts every week: teams competing with passion, athletes fighting to reach the next round, and people who are committed to and love the game we love so much: Basketaki.
Together, we are planning new initiatives that I am sure will excite our athletes and bring Basketaki closer to even more people. Stay tuned.”
Kiki Silvestriadou, CEO of Nova Media, said: “By expanding this partnership, Nova reaffirms the importance of its initiative to support amateur sport, as well as its longstanding commitment to backing initiatives with a meaningful social impact.
At Nova, we are absolutely convinced that sport can make our world a better place. Through this partnership, we hope to strike a chord with a wider audience, inspire them and remind them that sport, when it serves people, can become a force for hope, inclusion, equality and social change.”
