Business turnover rose in August 2026, according to data released by the Hellenic Statistical Authority (ELSTAT).
Across all businesses in the economy required to keep double-entry books, for which monthly data are available, turnover in August 2026 amounted to €36,035,188 thousand, up 8.5% from €33,215,219 thousand in August 2025.
Businesses in the Information and Communication sector recorded the biggest increase in turnover in August 2026 compared with August 2025, at 22.2%, while businesses in the Mining and Quarrying sector saw a 15.3% decline.
