The 19th plenary meeting of the ΕΛΛΑ-ΔΙΚΑ ΜΑΣ initiative was held in Ilia from 2 to 4 October 2026, with 37 owners/members attending with their families. Particularly notable was the presence of many representatives of the next generation of business leaders from member companies, highlighting the dynamism and importance of their active involvement in sustaining and developing Greek entrepreneurship. All participants discussed the action plan for the domestic and overseas markets, exchanged experiences and strengthened the ties forged through their shared journey.
The programme began on Friday 2 October with a visit to the production facility of member company KYKNOS in Savalia, Ilia. Participants were briefed on the company’s operations and production activities, as well as on issues facing modern Greek manufacturing businesses.
On Saturday 3 October, the closed-door plenary meeting was held, attended exclusively by the owners of member companies. Projects under way and priority issues for the coming period were presented and discussed. Particular emphasis was placed on developing new synergies among member companies, making further use of the ΕΛΛΑ-ΔΙΚΑ ΜΑΣ brand and planning joint initiatives to strengthen the initiative’s presence and promote Greek production and entrepreneurship at home and abroad.
That evening, according to the relevant announcement, an open plenary meeting was held, attended by members’ families, representatives of local government and institutions, and members of the business community in Ilia.
Those attending the event included Pyrgos Mayor Stathis Kannis, Ilia Chamber of Commerce President Kostas Leventis and former Minister of National Education and Religious Affairs Petros Efthymiou, as well as representatives of local businesses. Discussions highlighted the value of cooperation between businesses and local institutions in further developing Greek entrepreneurship.
The 19th plenary meeting concluded on Sunday 4 October with a tour for members of Ancient Olympia, a place inextricably linked with Greek history and culture. The meeting was a success, featuring substantive discussions, shared experiences and plans for the next steps in the member companies’ joint journey as wholly Greek businesses.
As the initiative’s board chairman, Agis Pistiolas, noted:
“The ΕΛΛΑ-ΔΙΚΑ ΜΑΣ initiative is a cohesive structure, a Greek multinational that brings together wholly Greek businesses with the shared aim of promoting branded Greek products at home and abroad. The 19th plenary meeting in Ilia, with 37 member companies and local institutions taking part, confirmed that our shared 15-year journey is growing stronger all the time.”
Ilia Chamber of Commerce President Kostas Leventis said:
“I would like to express my sincere thanks to the ΕΛΛΑ-ΔΙΚΑ ΜΑΣ initiative for choosing Ilia as the venue for its 19th plenary meeting. It is especially important to host businesses that invest in Greek production, create jobs and stand out internationally.
Ilia has a strong primary sector, high-quality agricultural products and significant growth potential. Our priority is to link agricultural production with processing, increase added value and strengthen international reach. The presence of ΕΛΛΑ-ΔΙΚΑ ΜΑΣ offers an opportunity for new partnerships that will contribute to the development of the local and national economies.”
