The Panhellenic Association of Member Companies of External Protection and Prevention Services (PASYMEP) has reaffirmed its pivotal role in advancing Occupational Health and Safety (OHS), winning two major awards at the BOUSSIAS Health & Safety Awards 2026 ceremony on Wednesday, 30 September 2026.
According to a press release, the judging panel awarded PASYMEP two Silver Awards for its pioneering “Occupational Safety Adviser” initiative, which the association designed and is implementing in collaboration with international certification body TÜV NORD Greece.
At the event, attended by Konstantinos Karagounis, Deputy Minister of Labour and Social Security, and industry executives, PASYMEP was recognised in the categories of “Integrating Health & Safety into Corporate Culture” and “Health & Safety Project”.
The two awards reflect the significant change this initiative is bringing about by strengthening knowledge and fostering a culture of prevention in the workplace.
PASYMEP president George Lambrinos said: “Winning twice at the Health & Safety Awards is a strong confirmation that workplace safety is not a formality, but a core corporate value and a strategic pillar of sustainability. We must move from piecemeal training to certified knowledge.
As an association, we are investing in modern initiatives that link certified knowledge with day-to-day practice and help foster a genuine culture of prevention in the workplace.”
Through its extensive nationwide network of members, the new initiative is already being implemented by companies across the country, with many organisations incorporating certified knowledge into their staff development processes.
With certified professionals and new training programmes, PASYMEP aims to help establish a modern standard for occupational safety, improving the quality and reliability of occupational health and safety services.
PASYMEP’s role in the Greek market
PASYMEP is the institutional body representing External Protection and Prevention Services, which account for 65% of the Greek market.

The association is at the forefront of public debate, promoting improvements to the regulatory framework for occupational health and safety, with the aim of adapting it to today’s business challenges and working conditions.
PASYMEP’s main objective is to highlight the vital contribution of OHS to protecting workers and supporting business, helping to create a safer, more sustainable and productive working environment.
