Halcyon Equity Partners S.C.A SICAR has announced its investment in Rodoula Dough Products S.A., one of Greece’s leading producers of frozen dough products, sweets and baked goods. The company serves the foodservice, hotel and supermarket markets in Greece and abroad.
The investment will support Rodoula’s next phase of growth, which includes building a new production facility in Acharnes, Attica, continuing to develop innovative products and expanding further internationally. The deal is fully aligned with Halcyon Equity Partners’ strategy of investing in Greek companies with strong growth prospects and an outward-looking orientation, as part of its broader “Invest in the Best of Greece” strategy.
Founded in 1999, Rodoula has grown from a family-run workshop into a leading industrial company, with a diverse portfolio of frozen dough products, puff pastry products, sweets and baked goods sold under the “Rodoula” brand. Rodoula is one of the few companies in the sector with such a broad product range. It now operates three separate production facilities and two distribution centres in Athens, and serves more than 3,500 points of sale across foodservice (bakeries, restaurants, patisseries and cafés), supermarkets and hotels. Rodoula also exports its products to more than 30 countries and has built an extensive and growing presence, with Europe and North America as its main markets.
In recent years, Rodoula has recorded strong growth and higher profitability, supported by continued investment in improving its production processes, developing new products and expanding internationally.
A key pillar of Rodoula’s next phase of growth will be the construction of a new 32,000 sq m production facility on the company’s own land in Acharnes, Attica. The investment is expected to consolidate all existing production and supply operations in a single, highly automated facility, significantly increasing production capacity.
Halcyon Equity Partners will work closely with management to deliver Rodoula’s strategic plan, with a focus on transforming production, international expansion, product innovation and further penetration of the Greek and international markets.
