This was among the points highlighted by Enaon EDA in a statement following damage to a pipeline in Kolonos earlier today, Thursday.
The network operator said:
“Today, 22 October 2026, a natural gas pipeline on Tripoleos Street in Kolonos was damaged during work carried out by third parties.
Enaon EDA’s Emergency Response team arrived at the scene immediately and took the necessary steps to deal with the incident and repair the damage. The work was completed at around 14:00.
Enaon EDA always puts the safety of the public, workers and the natural gas distribution network first.
The company reminds the public that, before any excavation work begins, it is essential to contact Enaon EDA in advance to obtain maps of the network and the relevant instructions for carrying out the work safely.
