The Greek state will hold an auction of 13-week Treasury bills in dematerialised form, worth €400 million and maturing on 29 January 2027, on Tuesday 27 October 2026.
The settlement date will be Friday 30 October 2026 (T+2).
Interest on the Treasury bills is calculated on an ACT/360 basis.
The auction will be conducted through competitive bids by Primary Dealers in the HDAT, in accordance with the procedure set out in their Operating Rules, in force since 1 April 2026.
In addition, under the Primary Dealers’ Rules, non-competitive bids may be submitted on the day of the auction until 12:00 noon.
Non-competitive bids will be accepted at the weighted average price of successful competitive bids (weighted average price), up to a total of 25% of the amount auctioned.
No additional non-competitive bids will be accepted on Thursday 29 October 2026.
No commission will be charged on the Treasury bills.
Individuals can also participate
Alongside the auction, the Greek state is giving individuals the opportunity to buy these securities through a public subscription at any bank or brokerage firm, up to a maximum nominal value of €15,000 per individual.
The sale price will be the weighted average price of successful competitive bids (weighted average price). The total value of securities to be made available through this process will be announced after the public subscription closes.
Subscription period: Monday 26 October 2026 to Thursday 29 October 2026 inclusive.
To buy the securities, they must be registered in an account in the Dematerialised Securities System (SAT). Such an account can be opened through the aforementioned distributors; the required documents are an identity card and a tax identification number (AFM).
Both individuals and legal entities can buy government securities (Treasury bills or Greek government bonds) through banks and brokerage firms, following the usual procedures currently in place.
