Holcim reported a 5.2% increase in net sales on an organic basis in the first nine months. EBIT also rose 11% organically over the period, with a 16.8% increase in Swiss francs in the third quarter.
Miljan Gutovic, Holcim’s chief executive, said: “I would like to thank all 50,000 of our employees around the world for their contribution to the strong performance we delivered during the first nine months of the year. Together, we continue to implement our NextGen Growth 2030, strategy with consistency, discipline and speed.
In the first nine months of the year, we achieved strong and profitable growth, with a recurring EBIT margin that puts us at the top of our industry. This performance reflects stronger customer demand for our high-value solutions, rigorous cost management and operational excellence.
Our growth momentum strengthened further in the third quarter, with net sales and recurring EBIT both recording double-digit percentage growth in Swiss francs.
The agreement to acquire Fermacell, announced in August, will broaden Holcim’s European portfolio in walling, flooring and fire protection solutions, while strengthening its integrated building systems and prefabricated construction solutions. In the first nine months, Holcim completed 11 value-creating transactions: 10 acquisitions and one divestment.
On the strength of this performance, we are raising our forecast for organic recurring EBIT growth to 10%-12% for full-year 2026. We also expect organic net sales growth of around 5%, a further increase in the recurring EBIT margin and free cash flow of around 2 billion Swiss francs.”
Strong and profitable growth
According to the company’s announcement, Holcim’s net sales in the first nine months of 2026 totalled 12.586 billion Swiss francs, an organic increase of 5.2% compared with the same period a year earlier. In the third quarter, net sales rose 15.5% in Swiss francs.
Recurring operating profit (EBIT) for the nine-month period totalled 2.414 billion Swiss francs, an organic increase of 11.8% year on year. In the third quarter, recurring operating profit rose 16.8% in Swiss francs.
The recurring EBIT margin for the nine-month period increased by 10 basis points to 19.2%, with positive momentum in the third quarter contributing to improved profitability since the start of the year.
