A major operation by the Directorate for Combating Organised Crime has been under way since Sunday morning in a tax fraud case centred on the well-known ‘Choriatiko’ bakery chain.
According to reports, police have made arrests, including that of the chain’s owner and an accountant who, according to the same sources, is believed to have played a key role in the scheme.
The investigation is continuing.
