Klarna, the network of everyday financial services, has announced a partnership with Magenta Insurance, Telekom’s digital insurance brokerage and comparison service. From today, Magenta Insurance customers in Greece can pay for their car, motorbike or home insurance with Klarna when checking out at magentainsurance.gr. They can choose the “Pay in 3” service, spreading the cost over three equal, interest-free instalments, or pay the full amount in one go using “Pay in Full”.
The partnership marks the first step in a strategic alliance between Klarna and the Telekom Group, with further launches planned in the coming months. Through the partnership, consumers can compare insurance plans, choose one that meets their needs and buy a policy online, while having the flexibility to decide how and when to pay.
Maria Iliadou, Country Manager Greece at Klarna, said: “Insurance is a natural next step for Klarna as we extend flexible and more transparent payment options to an increasing range of consumers’ everyday needs. Through our partnership with Magenta Insurance, we are enabling consumers in Greece to protect what matters most to them, with a simple and clear way to manage the cost.”
For his part, Diamantis Bouzanis, Head of Magenta Insurance, said: “Traditionally, the insurance industry has required customers to adapt to its processes. We believe it should be the other way round: insurance should adapt to customers’ needs. At Magenta Insurance, we believe buying an insurance plan should be just as simple and flexible as buying any other digital service. By integrating Klarna into the payment process, we are taking another step in that direction, giving our customers more options and greater flexibility in how they pay.”.
