The CEO Clubs Greece’s now-established Autumn Forum will take place this year on Thursday 12 November at the Athens Conservatoire, under the theme “Building your Transformation Journey with Confidence: Creating value in a fast-pacing world”.
According to an announcement, curated by EY Greece, the Forum examines how transformation can move from a challenge to be addressed to value that determines the course of the business.
The Club’s Forums are held twice a year and have become a fixture in the country’s business community. They bring CEOs and entrepreneurs from every sector together in an environment where ideas are tested with rigour and honesty, and tomorrow’s trends are discussed before they become commonplace.
Amid a continuing range of challenges, transformation is no longer a project that is completed at some point, but a permanent condition for businesses. In this context, the upcoming Forum aims to show how clear strategic direction, consistent execution and the right prioritisation enable businesses to turn change into real value.
The Forum programme comprises an opening presentation and three panels. George Papadimitriou (CEO of EY Greece) and Luca Martini (EY-Parthenon’s EMEIA Emerging Markets Leader, within EY’s strategy and transactions arm) will open with the session “Setting the scene: creating value in a fast-moving world”, examining the trends shaping the market and how CEOs can create sustainable value amid uncertainty.
The first panel, “Beyond the core: Driving customer growth in an AI world”, will look at customer-centricity as a foundation for growth and how it is evolving in the age of artificial intelligence. Speakers will include Achilleas Arvanitis (Partner, EY Greece Consulting Services, and Head of EY Studio+ in Greece and the Europe Central region) and Vicky Koura (Partner, EY Greece Consulting Services, and Head of Marketing, Sales and Service at EY Studio+ in Greece).
At the second panel, “AI is evenly distributed. Advantage is earned”, Eftychia Kaselaki (Partner, EY Greece Consulting Services and Head of People Consulting in the Southern Cluster of the Europe Central region) and Samantha Matsa (Partner, EY Greece Consulting Services, AI & Analytics, EY AI & Data Centre of Excellence in Athens) will discuss how people make the difference in the age of artificial intelligence, through mindsets, skills and work design.
The Forum will conclude with the panel “Growth and Value Creation through investments”, which will examine how businesses can grow through investment, exploring the available funding options, from European programmes and private equity to borrowing and a stock market listing (IPO).
Speakers will include Nikos Mantzoufas (Head of European Funding Programmes Access Services at EY-Parthenon in Greece), Nikos Bris (EY Greece Partner and Head of M&A and Capital & Debt Advisory at EY-Parthenon in Greece) and Sofia Kalomenidou (Partner, EY Greece Assurance Services, and Head of Capital Markets in the Europe Central region). The discussion will be chaired by Tasos Iosephidis, EY Greece Partner and Head of EY-Parthenon in Greece.
“Transformation is now the central strategic challenge for every leader, because a company’s competitiveness and sustainability depend on it,” says Georgia Kartsani, Founder and President of CEO Clubs Greece.
“An organisation’s ability to transform continuously is now a fundamental value and serves as a compass for its strategic choices. The questions that arise along the way are answered more effectively through dialogue and the exchange of experience among leaders, and that is precisely what the Club’s Forums aim to do: provide a safe environment in which the country’s leading CEOs can co-create new mindsets and a model of leadership that opens the way to the next era.”
