The redevelopment of Aristotelous Square in Thessaloniki has cleared its final hurdle, with the last obstacle removed from the €26.04 million tender.
Sources familiar with the matter told Euro2day.gr that Alphadelta Constructions S.A. had withdrawn its pre-contractual appeal to the Hellenic Single Public Procurement Authority (EADISY) against the Municipality of Thessaloniki’s decision No. 1245/30.9.2026 on the redevelopment of the square.
The same sources said the withdrawal clears the way for the tender process to continue without waiting for EADISY to rule on the appeal. The hearing had been scheduled for 18 November, with a decision expected in early December.
By way of background, EADISY had ruled on 16 September in favour of two appeals, one by the consortium of companies “Takoudis – Sourla Bros.” and the other by Alphadelta Constructions, requiring the Municipality to review the process. Although the Municipality took the required steps, Alphadelta filed a fresh appeal against the 30 September decision, causing a new delay.
With the withdrawal, the outstanding issue is resolved and the Municipality can proceed to the next stages of the tender.
