The third From AI to ROI 2026 conference, organised by Satori Analytics, showcased artificial intelligence in real-world operating conditions through projects already being implemented by some of the country’s largest organisations.
According to a statement, the conference was held at the Lighthouse at the Stavros Niarchos Foundation Cultural Center, with around 400 executives from more than 200 organisations in attendance. The programme covered four main themes: building AI-native organisations; children and artificial intelligence; AI strategy, culture and governance; and Sovereign AI.
Companies including Motor Oil, Metlen, Bioiatriki, ELGEKA, Optima Bank, Stoiximan, IPTO and KLM Royal Dutch Airlines showed how they use artificial intelligence in their day-to-day operations, with solutions ranging from simple low-code tools to complex agentic and physical AI systems.
Business investment and the CIO’s changing role
During a discussion on Sovereign AI, Nikos Giannakakis, Group CIO of Motor Oil, and Giannis Vitzilaios, CCO Business Segment at OTE Group, discussed investments already under way at their groups and the changing role of the CIO.
Meanwhile, the chief executives of Microsoft, Performance Technologies, Nova ICT and IDIKA presented the Health Ministry’s Health Monitoring project, which uses data and artificial intelligence applications to support personalised prevention.
The programme opened with Sanjay Srivastava, Chair of the Executive Technology Board and former Chief Digital Officer of Genpact, one of the leading figures in artificial intelligence internationally.
Drawing on examples from Fortune 1000 organisations, he argued that the value of artificial intelligence should be measured in end-to-end processes, not individual automated tasks. He also stressed the need to redesign work rather than simply assist existing processes. As the cost of artificial intelligence falls, an organisation’s institutional knowledge and judgement become even more important.
In the panel that followed, executives from Alpha Bank, doValue and Blend shared concrete examples of their transition to AI-native operating models.
Five live demos from Satori Analytics
The Satori Analytics team used five live demonstrations to show how an agent can be built in a matter of days with Microsoft Copilot Studio and Claude.
They also showed how integrated agentic systems can operate securely in large organisations, how to develop an artificial intelligence roadmap (AI roadmap) to assess and prioritise projects, and how an organisation can manage a broad ecosystem of agents in terms of security, cost and accuracy.
Artificial intelligence in education and for the next generation
Particular interest centred on a discussion between Sofia Zacharaki, the Minister of Education, Religious Affairs and Sport, and , founder and chief executive of Satori Analytics, on Greece’s early investment in artificial intelligence and education.
The same emphasis on tangible results was evident in presentations by younger participants. An 11-year-old boy and a 15-year-old girl, graduates of the AI Academy, presented applications they had created after just six months of training: a digital assistant for buying event tickets and a clothing marketplace.
In a fireside chat, Afroditi Sevasti, chief executive of AI Factory Pharos, outlined the capabilities that will soon be available to businesses implementing artificial intelligence projects.
Goal is to build an ongoing knowledge platform
Michalis Georgakopoulos, founder and chief executive of Satori Analytics, said: «The growth of From AI to ROI over three years reflects how quickly artificial intelligence is maturing in Greece. The discussion has shifted from what the technology can do to the value it is already delivering: Greek businesses are implementing AI projects that are up and running and producing results, while the first AI-native organisations are also emerging.
This experience deserves to be shared on an ongoing basis. Our goal is to develop From AI to ROI from an annual conference into a continuous knowledge platform for the application of artificial intelligence in Greece, through concrete examples from the organisations themselves».
