Y/KNOT Invest announces a new charter agreement for the newly acquired tanker AMETHYST with one of the world’s leading oil and petroleum products trading groups. The agreement provides for daily revenue of US$175,000 and a duration of 1.5 to 2.5 months.
The second charter begins in the first days of November, immediately after the first charter, which ended on 29 October, ensuring the vessel remains commercially employed.
The new agreement secures significantly higher daily revenue, capitalising on the strong charter market, which is being driven by geopolitical turmoil and longer cargo routes. This development boosts the Group’s revenue and highlights Y/KNOT Invest’s ability to identify and capitalise on market opportunities.
First charter
The first charter of AMETHYST, which joined the company’s fleet in late June, lasted 96 days and generated total revenue of US$4.32 million, with average daily revenue of $45,000.
It is recalled that Y/KNOT Invest’s shares were added to the General Price Index of the Athens Stock Exchange at the session on 27 October 2026, marking another milestone in the company’s presence in the Greek capital market.
