The executive secretariat of the New Democracy party met this afternoon, chaired by Prime Minister and party president Kyriakos Mitsotakis.
At the meeting, according to reports, issues concerning the operation of the political committee and the party’s other bodies were discussed, along with the mobilisation of party officials through visits by government delegations across Greece and organisational matters relating to the party machinery ahead of the spring 2027 elections.
Mr Mitsotakis said, among other things, that “party members and officials are our greatest strength”, noting that there is no other political party that is so well organised.
All members of the body, both MPs and non-MPs, spoke at the meeting.
New Democracy secretary Konstantinos Kyranakis presented a review of activities and visits over the past 6 months, plans for the next steps in restructuring party bodies, drawing up candidate lists and involving the grassroots in the government programme.
