The second phase of the National Price Reduction Initiative continues the effort launched in September and October, at a particularly difficult economic time, with significant challenges for businesses and households, the Ministry of Development said in a statement.
For the November–December 2026 period, 994 product codes have so far been registered, with an average reduction of 7.1% in the base shelf price.
| Product category | Product codes | Average reduction |
|---|
| Branded products | 628 | 6.7% |
| Meat | 59 | 7.3% |
| Private-label products | 307 | 8% |
| Total | 994 | 7.1% |
The list remains open to new participants and is expected to grow, as the Authority continues talks with suppliers and supermarket chains to add more products.
Lower base prices and additional offers
Additional offers can be applied on top of the already reduced base price, increasing the benefit to consumers.
Participation is voluntary, with each business choosing independently which products to include and the size of its price reductions. The ΑΑΕΑ&ΠΚ thanks the participating suppliers and supermarket chains and invites more businesses to support the initiative.
From 4 November on PosoKanei
The participating product codes will be available from 4 November 2026 on the posokanei.gov.gr platform, making them easy for consumers to find and enabling them to check their prices.
