The Bank of Greece has launched its new “Online Appointments” platform to provide faster and easier service to citizens, businesses and professionals.
Through the new platform, customers can book, change or cancel appointments online, without having to make a phone call. They can also choose the branch, service, date and time that suit them, and receive immediate confirmation and relevant updates about their appointment.
Which transactions can be booked online
Appointments can be booked through the platform for:
- buying and selling gold sovereigns and gold coins,
- selling gold bars or ingots,
- purchasing commemorative coins and collectible numismatic products,
- buying and selling foreign banknotes at Bank of Greece branches,
- obtaining euro coins,
- exchanging euro coins for banknotes,
- exchanging euro banknotes for lower-denomination banknotes,
- obtaining new €5 and €10 banknotes,
- exchanging damaged euro banknotes,
- cash transactions involving the Greek state or public bodies.
The new service is part of the Bank of Greece’s digital transformation and aims to simplify the service process and reduce waiting times. It also enhances transparency and accessibility to the services provided.
