Greek architecture and strategic design firm STIRIXIS Group has won three awards at the International Property Awards in London for two projects that reflect its philosophy of taking a holistic approach to design as a catalyst for business growth.
The projects are innovative new-format spaces for serving the corporate clients of National Bank of Greece, and the headquarters of ECOSHIFT, part of the Petros Petropoulos Group.
At the International Property Awards 2026–2027, whose ceremony was held on 22 October at The Royal Lancaster Hotel in London, STIRIXIS Group — with more than 900 projects in 29 countries and more than 60 international awards — received the following distinctions:
- For the NBG Corporate Service Hubs project, National Bank of Greece: 5-Star Awards in the Best Public Service Interior and Best Office Interior categories.
- For the ECOSHIFT facilities project, Petros Petropoulos Group: a 5-Star Award in the Best Mixed Use Interior category.
The NBG Corporate Service Hubs were also shortlisted for the European award in both the Public Service Interior and Office Interior categories. The results will be announced at the official ceremony to be held in January 2027 at the historic Savoy hotel in London.
As the company’s announcement notes, the triple award highlights what sets STIRIXIS Group apart: its ability to understand in depth how each business operates and translate that into spaces that generate measurable value. From banking and industry to cinemas and education, STIRIXIS Group translates each client’s business model into a space that delivers.
National Bank’s new spaces
For National Bank of Greece, STIRIXIS Group designed the NBG Corporate Service Hubs, dedicated spaces for the Bank’s corporate clients. Retail branches did not allow for high-value private meetings, while the one-off solutions used in the past could not be replicated efficiently.
STIRIXIS Group developed a new, flexible spatial model based on the advisory relationship, which can be adapted consistently to different building environments. Each Hub is organised around well-lit meeting rooms, private advisory spaces and flexible work areas for the Bank’s teams.
The confidentiality of meetings is ensured through the layout, acoustic design and choice of materials, which also reflect the Bank’s institutional identity. Biophilic features and atmospheric lighting complete an environment that inspires confidence.
The NBG Corporate Service Hubs concept has already been implemented in Athens, Thessaloniki, Patras, Larissa and Heraklion, Crete, with scope for further expansion.
ECOSHIFT’s new headquarters
ECOSHIFT is the electric mobility and energy storage unit of the Petros Petropoulos Group, which dates back to 1922 and is listed on the Athens Stock Exchange.
For ECOSHIFT, STIRIXIS Group designed the company’s headquarters in Metamorfosi, Attica, where the NOOS electric scooter and the BES 1.0 energy storage system, among other products, are designed and built.
STIRIXIS Group approached the workplace and production as a single operational ecosystem. The challenge was to bring offices and production together in a unified, coherent mixed-use environment. The project had to accommodate complex operations across multiple zones, balance an authentic industrial character with the comfort of a modern workplace, and be delivered on a tight budget ahead of the launch of a new business unit.
The project was completed successfully and covers more than 3,000 sq m, including 2,500 sq m of production space.
The relationship between office and production was the starting point. Engineers’ open-plan workstations were placed close to the production area, allowing design and manufacturing to interact every day. The project is rounded out by enclosed meeting rooms and micro-rooms, a café and lounge, and an indoor amphitheatre for training and team coordination.
Michalis H. Oikonomakis, Executive Chairman of the Petros Petropoulos Group, said:
“ECOSHIFT’s award at the International Property Awards in London is a particularly honourable recognition of our substantial and creative collaboration with STIRIXIS Group, which has grown into a long-standing relationship built on trust.
From the outset, the STIRIXIS team understood ECOSHIFT’s vision in depth. With strategic thinking and a holistic approach, it translated our identity and philosophy into a modern working environment where production and office spaces coexist harmoniously. We are proud of the project’s international recognition.
STIRIXIS Group is not simply a partner in design and implementation, but a trusted strategic adviser that contributes substantially to our development through its professionalism, consistency and creativity.”
Elena Kyrnasiou-Athanasoula, Vice President & Executive Director of STIRIXIS Group, said:
“The award at the International Property Awards is a great honour and fills us with pride. With the NBG Corporate Service Hubs, we did not simply design new banking spaces; we created an integrated system in which space becomes a strategic tool for building trust in the relationship between a bank and a business.
At ECOSHIFT, value is created where thinking meets production. That is why we designed a single operational ecosystem in which the workplace expresses the energy transition the company supports.
We share these awards with National Bank of Greece and ECOSHIFT, whom we warmly thank for their trust and close collaboration, and congratulate the STIRIXIS Group team.”
