Europe Insurance has announced that Michalis Koletsos has taken up the role of technical director for all the company’s insurance lines.
In his new role, Mr Koletsos will have increased oversight of the company’s strategic lines of insurance: construction projects (CAR & EAR), liability and specialist financial risks (financial lines), including Cyber and D&O. He will focus on strengthening technical standards, risk management and profitable portfolio growth.
Mr Koletsos has extensive experience in the insurance and financial sectors, having previously held key senior positions.
Among other roles, he has served as Head of Underwriting for Casualty, Special Risks & Engineering, and Credit & Surety Bonds at major Greek and multinational insurance companies. He has also been Group Insurance Director at a leading business group, overseeing complex insurance risks.
He holds an MBA in Techno-Economic Systems from the National Technical University of Athens (NTUA), an MSc in International Economics, Banking and Finance from Cardiff Business School (University of Wales), and a degree in Statistics and Insurance Science from the University of Piraeus.
With deep technical expertise, experience in complex insurance challenges and an excellent knowledge of the market, Mr Koletsos is expected to play a decisive role in growing the sales by creating innovative insurance products that offer high added value to the company’s partners and clients.
