Unknown perpetrators hacked into Health Minister Adonis Georgiadis’ email account and began placing orders for expensive cars and firearms in his name.
As Mr Georgiadis says in a post on X, he contacted the Cyber Crime Division and is, for now, taking the incident in good humour.
Specifically, the minister wrote:
«On my birthday, they had this surprise in store for me. They “hacked” my email account and, using my name, placed the following orders. 150 Porsche Cayennes, 50 Mercedes-Maybach cars, 24 Benelli shotguns and 1 Springfield Armory Echelon firearm.
Thank you for this original way of wishing me a happy birthday, but I want to let them know that I have just contacted the Cyber Crime Division and will take legal action.
