Tomorrow, Tuesday, at 11:00 a.m. a Cabinet meeting is scheduled at the Maximos Mansion under Kyriakos Mitsotakis.
At 17:30 the Prime Minister will meet with the President of the House of Representatives of Cyprus Annita Demetriou, also at the Maximos Mansion.
The topics of the Cabinet meeting are:
- Presentation by the Vice President of the Government and Minister of State Kostis Hatzidakis and the Minister of State Akis Skertsos of the review of the government's work in the first half of the year and the planning of priorities for the second half of 2026.
- Briefing by the Deputy Minister of National Economy and Finance Nikos Papathanasis on the progress of implementation of the Recovery and Resilience Facility.
- Presentation by the Vice President of the Government and Minister of State Kostis Hatzidakis and the Minister of Rural Development and Food Margaritis Schoinas regarding agricultural payments, aid and compensation for June 2026 - review and next steps.
- Presentation by the Minister of Interior Thodoris Livanios and the Deputy Minister Vivi Charalampogianni of the bill on the reorganization and modernization of the National Centre for Public Administration and Local Government.
- Presentation by the Minister of Labour and Social Insurance Niki Kerameus and the Deputy Minister Anna Efthymiou of the bill on strengthening occupational insurance, improving the operating framework and creating incentives for attraction to the second pillar of the insurance system.
- Presentation by the Minister of Social Cohesion and Family Domna Michailidou and the Deputy Minister Elena Rapti of the bill on strengthening the Equal Treatment Body, the effective implementation of the principle of equal treatment and the transposition of Directives (EU) 2024/1499 and 2024/1500.
- Presentation by the Minister of Shipping and Island Policy Vasilis Kikilias of an omnibus bill of the ministry.
- Recommendation by the Minister of Justice Giorgos Floridis regarding the selection of the President and Prosecutor of the Supreme Court.
