Kyriakos Mitsotakis toured Aigaleo, as part of his regular contacts with citizens.
“3 years have passed since the 2023 elections. We presented the account of our work at a time when there is overall devaluation and questioning of politics, when they say "they are all the same" and political fledglings want to save us. When the time comes, we will tell you what we promised you in ’23 and what we have done up to today. When the time comes, the reserve of credibility will be based on "what we told you and what we ultimately did". We have not solved everything; we will continue to work very hard,” he stressed.
Regarding high prices, the prime minister noted that “wage increases and income support are the only defense against high prices. There are no easy solutions to reduce prices. We hope that we will have stable prices in the coming months and from September steady reductions in prices. This is the answer to those who keep repeating old promises and outdated slogans. We have not forgotten the experiments that almost led us over the cliff. Greece will not go back to a past that we want to forget once and for all.”
Mr. Mitsotakis underlined that “we are addressing the silent majority, which knows that there are difficulties, but also knows that the only party that has a proposal for the Greece of the future is ND.”
As for OPEKEPE, he stressed: “Today, after a great effort, we succeeded and kept our commitment and paid 617 million euros through AADE, in a fair way, with security and effectiveness. For all products we paid the subsidies that honest farmers were entitled to. We cut 150 million euros from the opportunists and recycled them to the honest farmers. It is the battle with the deep state.”
