ELGA proceeded with the payment of compensation, amounting to 1,215,047.31 euros, to 441 beneficiaries, for the restoration of damages suffered by affected agricultural holdings from the fires that broke out in 2022 in various regional units of the country.
The payment was made through the Bank of Greece, within the framework of implementing the relevant Joint Ministerial Decision for the support of the affected agricultural holdings and is financed by credits from the Public Investment Program (PIP) of the Ministry of Rural Development and Food.
As stated in a relevant announcement, with this specific payment the support of producers affected by natural disasters continues, with the aim of restoring their productive activity and strengthening the sustainability of agricultural holdings.
