Eurobank and Mastercard announce the expansion of their multi-year strategic partnership, inaugurating a new chapter in their relationship, which combines innovation in payments with a comprehensive ecosystem of services, experiences, and privileges for the Bank’s customers.
The new agreement constitutes the next step in a long-standing collaboration, confirming the shared commitment of the two organizations to invest in innovation, security, and next-generation digital services, while also contributing to the further development of the digital economy in Greece.
Within the framework of the agreement, Eurobank will issue payment cards for individuals and businesses bearing the Mastercard brand, offering its customers access to Mastercard’s global acceptance network, advanced security solutions, and modern payment technologies.
Eurobank and Mastercard are expanding their cooperation beyond payments, further broadening the ecosystem of experiences and privileges they have been developing over time for consumers. Through the Priceless platform, cardholders gain access to a wide network of experiences based on their interests, in areas such as music, cinema, sports, and entertainment, in more than 35 destinations worldwide. This includes Mastercard presales for high-demand music events, as well as unique priceless experiences linked to Mastercard’s international sponsorships, such as the Grammy Awards in the United States of America, the Venice International Film Festival, and the McLaren Mastercard Formula 1 Team. In this way, payment cards cease to be merely a tool in our wallet and evolve into a means of access to services and experiences that add real value to customers’ everyday lives.
The partnership is part of Eurobank’s strategy for the continuous enhancement of its customers’ experience and the development of a comprehensive ecosystem of digital services, where payments are an integral part of everyday life and function as a gateway to new possibilities, services and privileges.
Deputy CEO, Head of Retail & Digital Banking, Iakovos Giannaklis, stated: “The expansion of our partnership with Mastercard is a strategic development of particular importance for Eurobank and our customers. Through this collaboration, we combine the technology, innovation, and international footprint of a global leader in payments with our own commitment to offering ever better experiences to our customers. Beyond transactions, we are creating a unified ecosystem of services, privileges, and experiences that offers meaningful value in their daily lives. With Mastercard, we are investing in a banking model that is not limited to processing transactions, but offers more possibilities, more experiences, and greater value for the customer every day.”
Panagiotis Polydoros, Country Manager for Greece, Cyprus, and Malta at Mastercard, stated: “Mastercard and Eurobank share a common ambition: to make payments simpler, safer, and more rewarding. This agreement marks a new and particularly important chapter in our long-standing partnership and confirms our commitment to supporting Greece’s transition to an even more digital economy. Together, we will continue to promote innovation and expand the possibilities of digital payments for consumers and businesses.”
