A new chapter of strategic importance in its growth trajectory is being opened by SOUROTI, with the implementation of a major investment plan that includes the complete reconstruction, modernization, and construction of a new production unit next to its existing facilities. The investment was announced by Ivan Savvidis, through a video message shown during the anniversary event marking 110 years since the company's founding, titled “From the Source to the Future”.
The new unit will have two modern production lines, will significantly strengthen SOUROTI's production capacity, and is scheduled to begin operation in early 2028. The new investment is the natural continuation of the growth path the company has been following in recent years.
The investments implemented during the previous three-year period led to an 80% increase in production capacity, while the utilization rate of the borehole water doubled, from 40% to 80%. At the same time, SOUROTI recorded a return to profitability, with EBITDA of 1.845 million euros in 2025 compared to losses of 1.619 million euros in 2022, while turnover increased from 10.247 million euros in 2022 to 16.819 million euros in 2025. The announcement was made in the context of the celebrations for the company's 110 years, highlighting its deep historical journey.
The relationship of the SOUROTI spring with humans extends back to the Neolithic Era, constituting the continuation of a tradition of approximately 8,000 years, while the company, starting from its natural spring, continues to invest with respect for authenticity, quality, and the sustainable use of its natural wealth, linking its long history with the future of Greek production and Northern Greece, according to the company's announcement.
