The HERAKLES Group launched “The ROOM – Where Real Conversations Happen,” a new dialogue platform that aims to highlight important issues in contemporary society, starting with the challenges women face in their personal and professional lives.
According to the press release, the event was attended by female employees of the Group, as well as women from various professional fields, who had the opportunity to exchange views, share experiences, and openly discuss issues that affect their daily lives and professional development.
In a welcoming and interactive environment, “The ROOM” served as a space for authentic connection, where personal experience met collective knowledge and dialogue became a source of inspiration and reflection.
Through these discussions, issues of concern to modern women emerged, such as the search for a balance between professional and personal life, as well as the challenges accompanying their presence and advancement in demanding and often male-dominated work environments. At the same time, the importance of a corporate culture that actively promotes inclusion, equal opportunities, professional development, and mutual respect was emphasized.
Speeches by the guests
The event was honored by the presence of Stellina Siarapi, Secretary General for Private Investment at the Ministry of Development, and May Zanni, co-founder of Women Act.
Ms. Siarapi shared personal experiences from her professional career, highlighting the importance of perseverance, self-confidence, and seizing opportunities regardless of age or gender. At the same time, she underscored the value of continuous education and professional development, as well as the importance of authenticity in the workplace.
She placed particular emphasis on the need to foster mutual respect, support, and solidarity among women, noting that a more inclusive and humane model of leadership cannot be formed without meaningful collaboration. At the same time, she addressed the phenomenon of violence in all its forms, characterizing it as a significant social issue that requires awareness and collective action.
For her part, Ms. Zanni spoke about the need that led to the creation of Women Act, as well as the evolution of public discourse surrounding gender stereotypes, the importance of mutual support among women, the role of networking and mentoring, and the skills expected to shape the future of work.

Workshop on Women’s Empowerment
Of particular interest was the interactive workshop “Own the Room, Own the Result,” which offered participants practical tools and techniques for enhancing their authentic presence, self-confidence, and effective communication in the professional environment.
The event was moderated by journalist Maria Akrivou, who drew on her experience in leadership, entrepreneurship, and women’s empowerment.
The General Manager of Communications and Public Relations for the HERAKLES Group, Evi Ioannidou, stated that “The ROOM” was created to offer a safe space where women can speak openly, inspire one another, and seek new opportunities for growth.
As she noted, the initiative will continue through a series of new “ROOMS” with different themes that will highlight important issues in contemporary society and strengthen the power of collaboration, inclusion, and collective growth.
