The first “smart” electricity plans with… a technical service bonus for your home, business, or even your Airbnb, combining electricity service with the services of an electrician, plumber, boiler technician, locksmith, and other professionals in the field, are now a reality.
At a time when providers are preparing to enter the energy renovation market, and while in previous years “extra perks” focused on miles & bonuses for air travel, discounts on home appliance purchases, and health insurance policies, the focus is now on benefits related to prevention, maintenance, and the immediate resolution of technical issues in the home, building, or even short-term rental properties.
Signaling a new direction in the market and serving as a precursor to the new model of energy upgrades set to emerge soon —where costs will be paid through the monthly bill— four suppliers have already launched the first electricity packages with 24/7 technical support services, 365 days a year.
From homes to Airbnb: PPC
In the case of PPC, which started with packages for homes and businesses, a new service was added a few days ago in anticipation of summer, for short-term rental accommodations ("FixItBnB"), offering owners access to specialized technicians (electricians, plumbers, locksmiths, natural gas boiler technicians) for emergency repairs for €7.40/month.
It covers up to €400 per technician visit and up to four visits per year, and also includes civil liability insurance for the property through Ethniki Insurance.
For home repairs (“FixIt”), for €1.95 per month and with a 50% discount until May 31, 2026, access to an electrician, plumber, and locksmith whenever the need arises. Coverage per incident is up to €100.
In the case of professionals (“FixItPro”) the philosophy is similar, and for a cost of €4 per month—with a 50% discount also available through the end of May—a “package” is offered with professional invoices for up to two visits per year, with a maximum amount of €300 per visit.

Coverage for damage and fire by Protergia
Protergia (“Home Care”) also provides 24-hour technical assistance, in partnership with Eurolife Insurance, in the event of a complete power outage, with a maximum coverage of 60 euros per incident and for up to two incidents per year. The same amount applies to natural gas issues, such as leaks or boiler malfunctions and burner failure (up to 500 kW), for a maximum of three incidents per year.
In the event of a fire, the “Home Care” service provides not only technical repairs but also a range of services, such as temporary replacement of television sets, debris cleanup, transportation, storage, and safekeeping of furniture, hotel accommodation, immediate return to the residence, etc.
The coverage limits for this specific service depend on the plan. The Business Care service operates similarly, covering electrical faults and interventions in the event of a fire, specifically for the commercial sector.
From short circuits to lost keys, Enerwave
From emergency technical assistance for electrical faults (short circuits or power surges) to plumbing issues (such as burst pipes or flooding), damage to window panes or the main entrance door, malfunctions in basic plumbing fixtures, issues with the natural gas system, as well as lost or stolen keys—all are covered by the range of services offered by Enerwave.
The “Home Repair” service, available 24 hours a day, 365 days a year , covers travel, labor, and material costs up to 100 euros per incident, with up to 2 service calls per specialty and up to 5 in total per insurance year.
The coverage is valid nationwide and is intended for customers who have an active electricity or natural gas supply contract with Enerwave. Insurance provider Eurolife is entering the fray, as technical support is combined with insurance coverage for everyday emergencies. The Business Repair service for professionals follows the same logic.

Zenith focuses on prevention, with an emphasis on gas
In the case of Zenith, which focuses on Thessaloniki, Larissa, Volos, Trikala, and Karditsa, the focus is on prevention, particularly in the natural gas sector, covering everything from annual maintenance and boiler operation checks to repair services and a full inspection of the installation through its “Boiler Care” services.
Depending on the services, fees vary, starting at €4.99/month for annual preventive boiler maintenance and going up to €8.99/month, covering not only boiler maintenance but also two additional corrective repairs per year and the issuance of a Leak-Tightness Certificate, the official document confirming that the installation meets the required safety standards.
At the same time, it offers services for issuing an Installer’s Declaration (YDE) for a fee of 6.99 euros/month, for all regions of Greece, and an Energy Performance Certificate, with the option to pay in installments via the account.
