Nikkei rises 1.1 pct as exporters gain on yen

TOKYO, March 5 (Reuters) - Japan's Nikkei average rose 1.1 percent on Friday with exporters such as Kyocera Corp <6971.T> lifted by a weaker yen and gains on Wall Street after encouraging U.S. data including better than expected monthly retail sales.

The benchmark Nikkei <.N225> rose 108.89 points to 10,254.61, erasing a 1.1 percent decline booked the previous day.

The broader Topix <.TOPX> added 0.8 percent to 905.11. (Reporting by Aiko Hayashi)
